The K’Nex Amazin’8 Coaster building set let’s you build a real working roller coaster in your living room.

As soon as we opened up our parcel Jack was eager to set to work there are 448 pieces.

As you may be able to see the K’nex Peices are a lot thinner than your normal more fuller and thicker Peice .

A bonus as Jack says he finds it easier to work with if he makes a slight mistake and says it doesn’t hurt his fingers. All parts that you need for this build are included. ( Batteries not included)

Without hesitation Jack set to work on his Roller Coaster and he’s being timed

The instructions are easy to follow step by step guild, Each page has a box with all the parts you need to complete this step and how many of each you need. Jack says this is really helpful and easy to follow with no help from myself, least to my dissatisfaction as I love K’NEX . With this build there is a motorised chain that lifts and sends the Roller Coaster car screaming through epic twists and turns, The highest part is a whopping 76m high.

From a parents perspective I love everything about STEAM learning and love that Jack is engaging in an activity he enjoys.
This fun and engaging construction set for children age 7+ helps develop hand-eye coordination. See the concentration on his face.

K’NEX products promote childrens Fine motor skill, problem solving skills and spatial awareness all while providing an understanding of STEM learning, With out the realisation that they are learning. From a parents view it’s a Win Win.

Jack completed the whole build in just under 2 hours and he’s ten years old and not the fastest of builders often doubts himself and his ability.

I think Jack can loose interest in projects really quickly and loose hope but with this type of builds they boost his confidence that he can achieve anything he wants too and with a small very really rewarding fast build he gains so much more than the average child.

  • Please note this set is for 7 years + as it contains small parts
  • The motor that turns the chair for the cart requires batteries and these are NOT included
  • You need a small screw driver to open the motor box to put batteries in.
